Piramal Foundation new initiatives for transforming school education

The Piramal Foundation, a premier non-profit organisation working in the field of education and health for more than a decade has entered into an agreement with Niti Aayog to work for transformation of all the 115 aspirational districts of the country by focusing on core areas pertaining to education, health, nutrition agriculture, financial inclusion, infrastructure development sectors for improving the living standard of the people by ensuing inclusive growth for all.
Accordingly, Piramal Foundation has been working in close coordination with the district administration, Goalpara and collaborating with the Department of Education, SSA, DIET, department of adult education for supporting transformation of students learning outcomes with especial focus relating to issues of female literacy etc.
Furthermore, the programme leader informed that recently, the Department of Education has launched the school transformation roadmap with the Piramal Foundation across two educational blocks in the first phase, namely, Matia and Dudhnoi where more than 45 officials including CRCCs, BEOs, BRP, MIS, DPOs and others participated in a workshop where the education officials were made to understand the nuances of how school transformation roadmap and its various indicators will create the space for transformation of government schools.
