 ‘Hamare Gaon Ki Beti, Hamari Shaan’ Scheme

• The district administration launched the ‘Hamare Gaon Ki Beti, Hamari Shaan’ scheme under the ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Paadhao’ campaign to improve the child sex ratio in the district.
• The district figures on the list of 100 panchayats of the country, having the lowest child sex ratio. The district administration recently launched the ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’ scheme and the ‘Una Utkarsh’ programme to give importance to the girl child and family members.
• The child sex ratio, which was 875 girls (below six years) per 1,000 boys three years ago, had been improved to 924 girls per 1,000 boys.Every panchayat has selected a girl child, who has excelled in any field of activity. The photograph, name and achievement of the child have been put up in panchayat bhawan, patwar bhawan and local schools. He said ‘DC’ cards had been issued to families having only daughters. The card enables the family to get priority in various government departments, besides treatment in health institutions.
• On the occasion, 50 beneficiaries were given LPG connections under the Grahini Suvidha Yojana of the state government. Mothers of 25 newborn girls were given fixed deposits amounting to Rs 12,000 each under the Beti Hai Anmol scheme.
  

Beti Hain Anmol Yojana  :

• Under the "Beti Hain Anmol Yojana" girls belonging to BPL families will be given financial assistance in the form of scholarship from the state government. Apart from this, assistance will be provided in the state as well as annual scholarship at the time of the birth of the girl child. This scheme will help the girls of the state to provide financial help and make them self-reliant with education. Under the scheme, maximum two girls of BPL family, who are living below poverty line and Rural Areas in rural and urban areas, can avail the benefits of this scheme.
• The main purpose of "Beti Hain Anmol Yojana " is to encourage girl's education. For this reason, the government will provide scholarships of 300 to 1200 rupees to the girls studying in the 01 to 12th class. Apart from this, the BPL families have announced the annual scholarship of 12000 rupees for the education of the girls of the BPL families doing graduation level or equivalent courses. Students of BA, B Tech, Commerce, MBBS, LLB and BEd (BA, B Tech, Commerce, MBBS, LLB and B.Ed) can apply for this scheme.
• "Beti Hain Anmol Yojana" is for girls of families who live below the poverty line in Himachal Pradesh, the benefit of this scheme is for the two families of the family.
• The Government of Himachal Pradesh will be credited to the post office / bank account in the account of Rs. 12,000 / - per girl.
• Under the priceless scheme, scholarships of 300 to 1200 rupees will be given to girls from first class to 12th class for their books / clothes etc.
• Under this scheme, families who are living below the poverty line and girls studying in the graduation level will be given a scholarship of Rs. 5,000 thousand.
• All girls born under 05 July 2010 under the Scheme and below BPL families are eligible for benefits under this scheme of BPL families.
