New software which will strengthen telemedicine services in government hospitals,has been launched in Rajasthan for presumptive diagnosis and monitoring of seasonal and non-communicable diseases as well as the trends of ailments found in specific areas.
1.‘Nidaan’ is a software that will be used for presumptive diagnosis and monitoring of seasonal and non-communicable diseases as well as the trends of ailments found in specific areas. 2.It is a simultaneous monitoring of the programmes run under the National Health Mission, would help formulating an effective policy in the health sector. 3.“Nidaan” will facilitate online entries of as many as 46 diseases and healthcare services available for their treatment in different institutions. 4.It is a useful software which will collect and integrate a variety of data from a variety of sources to identify important disease outbreak information through a user-friendly interface.
1.The availability of quality healthcare services is the primary objective of this exercise. 2.The monitoring of activities of District Early Intervention Centres is equally important for ensuring timely prevention of diseases. 3.By using this software, it is expected to help inthe formulation of specific action plans for control of diseases. 4.The new arrangement would also help strengthen telemedicine services in the government hospitals as per the additional chief secretary of the state.
Electronic source of infectious disease monitoring by this Nidaan software has begun to address various challenges related to disease outbreak, which will further facilitate knowledge management and early detection. It is part of a new generation of health surveillance systems that will help supplement existing public health systems by focusing on event-based monitoring of infectious disease.
