Recently India conducted the first test firing of man portable shoulder launched anti tank guided missile system which is a derivative of the NAG weapon system developed indigenously by DRDO . Another air launched version of NAG which is a fire and forget ATGM - HELINA has also been successfully from the the indigenous Light Combat Helicopter .
Ministry of Defence has already cleared the purchase of 300 NAG missiles with 25 tracked launcher vehicles for Indian Army which needs approximately 40,000 missiles for its infantry and mechanised units .
So what are the various features of these indigenously developed Anti Tank Guided Missiles and others like these .Also how will the demand and supply gap in ATGMs for army will be met .
