This week Pradhan Mantri Urja Ganga Scheme was in news. The scheme is related to extension of natural gas pipeline in Eastern Indian states of UP, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha and West Bengal. Gas India Limited is responsible for development of this pipeline. A new link from Dobhi in Bihar to Durgapur in West Bengal has been approved by the Government and hence the scheme was in news and qualifying it to be an important current affair for the week.
